With trillions upon trillions of microbes in your stomach, most estimates reveal that FIVE solid POUNDS of your gut are pure bacteria. Needless to say, these little bugs are necessary for preventing and curing EVERY disease known to man.
Last time, we learned about the RISKS of having weak human flora (including flu, herpes, auto-immune disorders, and every variety of cancer). The GOOD news is that there are proven ways to influence a happy internal human environment. Let’s start from the beginning…
1. Vaginal Birth: NO C-SECTION!!!!
As you slid out your mothers vaginal canal, you acquired unique bacteria as a gift from your mom. This bacteria is especially important for the immune system and healthy development.
On the other hand, if you were born via C-Section, you missed out on a lot of beneficial bacteria — therefore it is wise for C-Section babies to supplement with additional probiotics such as Lactobacillus and Bifidus strains.
2. Breastmilk as a baby. Formula just isn’t the same…
Mother’s milk is naturally one of the most anabolic (promoting metabolism) substances ever created. It contains vitamins, minerals, essential fatty acids, amino acids, and of course, BACTERIA! Breastfead babies get a jumpstart both in life and in health.
3. Eat a balanced diet. The key is to promote healthy pH balance.
When a person is in a -Diseased State- they surely have an unhealthy pH balance in the body. The optimal human pH is 7.0. Lower than that is considered acidic, whereas greater than 7.0 classifies as alkaline. Remember, balance is key.
Bodies that are in an Acidic pH state are more likely to host TOXIC life forms such as Candida Albicans — the yeast responsible for 90%+ of vaginal yeast infections. These unhealthy bacteria and yeasts THRIVE in an acidic environment because healthy bacteria is killed or physically pushed out.
What contributes to a (negative) Acidic pH in your body?
- Drinking alcohol
- Eating lots of meat
- Unhealthy fats
- Caffeine and other drugs
- Not sleeping enough!
