If your knowledge is ego-driven, you will never reach nutritional enlightenment

Do you already know what to eat?

I have noticed a very common cycle for people who are trying to improve their bodies by letting go of excess weight.

They know that if they just eat a certain way, then they will deserve the outcome of weight loss.

There are two issues with this. The first is that they think they already know, which leaves no room for the unknown to reveal itself. The second issue is that they become too attached to the outcome instead of becoming fully immersed in the process.

If your cup is already full, then how will you receive the wisdom of the ancients? You must first empty your cup.

Nutritional enlightenment involves at least three layers of your being.

I will briefly introduce these three layers and expand upon them in future articles.

1. Your subconscious and deeper primal processes.

We can categorize this as that which you are not consciously aware of, but acts as a compelling force nonetheless.

2. Your conscious thoughts that you are actively aware of.

These are the thoughts and feelings going through your mind that are most visible or readily identifiable. While these are extremely important parts of our reality, we may focus on it too much or even drown in toxic ideas that influence us away from supporting our deepest needs.

3. Our social selves and how we physically interact with the world.

I can think of other ways to guide us than being ego-driven. Perhaps we can be soul-driven or others-driven. While the ego is necessary for individuals in order to operate in this world, never lose sight of the fact that every single thing in the universe is connected. I believe that most nutritional problems that people face are due to a disconnect with the nature of life and living things.

You have the opportunity to absorb the vital forces of plants and living things on a daily basis, rather a privilege! You can honor the sacrifice by intentionally directing your energy towards the healing process (whether individually, community, or globally).

And…

YOU can manifest a life of wellness and abundance!

Fall in love with the process and let go of attachment to outcome.

I think a reason why I haven’t been updating the blog enough is because I have been focused on outcome. I want this blog to reach a million views, I want this blog to change people’s lives, I want this blog to one day support me financially. To be honest, while those outcomes would be positive, I feel an anxiety about whether I am even capable or worthy of it. Yet, I feel drawn to something compelling about helping others through this channel.

The process is about what we have now in this moment and every part of the process should be honored and respected. Failures are not failures, they are feedback and opportunities for regrowth. Maybe we need to hurt today so that we can love tomorrow.

I just know that there are unlimited possibilities, but we’ll only have this moment once.

Do you emphasize Love, Self-Care, and Loving yourself in Fitness and Fat Loss?

It would be lovely to love yourself.

In my childhood, I always had fantasies about saving other people’s lives and being a hero. If I was having a hard time falling asleep, I would imagine myself on the battlefront saving the lives of my brothers and I would try to feel the powerful emotions of the moment like immense gratitude and honor.

But that was just imaginary.

I don’t want to pretend anymore.

I need the real deal because validation doesn’t build authentic self-esteem. I know that there is something deeper that needs to be constructed.

How does love create?

When something shines bright enough, then it will flow through you like the river or the waterfall while overriding futile distractions.

I asked myself this

What is it that flows through you right now?

How are your actions guided by the energy?

In which direction or angle must you take next?

Love is active.

Love travels at the speed of light.

Light moves and is not at rest.

Love is light.

Let light show you the way.

How can we overcome that which holds us down?

There will be people or beliefs in your life that you must make a choice to lose attachment in order to heal and that is okay.

The reason that it is okay to have detachment in some areas of your life is because it will allow you to love harder in the places that you need to focus on now.

Darkness must be faced.

Take moments to confront your deeper, darker self and find ways to let go of resentment.

Practice radical forgiveness towards yourself and everything in the universe.

You might just overcome the final barrier and obstacle in the road toward ascension.

You really can be the Light

I hope you let the light in, even if it’s through your wounds.

Treat me Like a Dog, until…

It’s five o’clock pm in the Johnson household, and family tension begins to be realized on this not-so-unusual night.

Stomping and stamping his feet, little Jimmy refuses to eat his broccoli. Unacceptable. The man of the house, Big Ben, is about to teach this kid a little thing called Tough Love.

Audible to the entire neighborhood, “COME HERE, KID!” sounded like the roar of a lion in the wild. Big Ben was boss around here, and what he says goes.

Little Jimmy reluctantly yields to his fathers command, only to be met by painful spanking on his back. This has happened before, so Jimmy suffers one hit at a time while waiting for his life when the pain will finally subside.

Maxim #1: If you treat it like an animal, expect it to behave like one.

Since we connect through shared emotions with our dog companions, they are thought of as man’s best friend. But, dogs do not speak English.

The strength of people is our ability to communicate with each other.

If my kid didn’t want to eat broccoli, I would view it as an opportunity to lead conversation about Broccoli!

"Nooo, don't eat meeee"

Promote connection by asking him thoughtful questions that encourage much deeper answers than, “I don’t like broc.” Yea, I used to not like broccoli. I used to not like girls either. Ironic, now that broccoli helps me get the girls today.

The point is that while I may not be entirely happy with my future son’s behavior all the time, I will take each broccoli scenario and turn it into a mutually beneficial one. Maybe he won’t eat broccoli on that particular night, but he’ll take away lessons of life, communication, and the hopefully the love of chopped florets.

Holistic Health accepts our vulnerabilities, and knows this moment now, and the next one too, is an opportunity for human potential.
